Mosser Glass Mosser Glass is one of the larger glass makers in North America actually batching and producing Vaseline Glass. They produce not only their own lines, but also do contract and private work for other glass companies, wholesalers and individuals. Some of these are Rosso, Guernsey, The Degenhart Museum, Weishar, and even Fenton (though Fenton produces their own Vaseline). To this date, Mosser has produced only Vaseline and Vaseline Carnival, no Vaseline Opalescent. In speaking with representaives of Mosser, they have expressed a desire to do this in the future though. Some of Mosser's pieces have been satinized, also. The majority of Mosser's pieces are marked with a Mosser mark of an "M" or an "M"in the Ohio outline. The following list includes items in Mosser's own line that have been available during the last two years.
# 100 - Panel Toothpick, 2
1/2" Contract pieces are produced to the specifications of the party ordering. And in some cases, this may result in the piece(s) being produced with an original mold mark or possibly no mark. This practice varies from company to company and is ever changing according to market trends. Many of the items in Mosser's own line are also available from other wholesalers who purchase pieces from Mosser and resell them at a slightly higher "wholesale" cost, yet still well below retail. Contract production items are not included as they are not available from Mosser directly. |
